Ergo Artworks has emerged from the doodles of one of Milton Keynes University Hospital Estates team Tom Craven. On display are a small selection from an organic and vivid catalogue of abstract designs spanning over 20 years.

The artworks are heavily influenced by the art of Doodling. Doodles, by definition, are drawings made intuitively whilst the focus of the mind is occupied elsewhere. It is something many of us do daily, often without realising, and is thought of as a cathartic process, that can help with relaxation, to relieve anxieties or boredom.

Ergo Artworks takes these doodles one step further. Hand drawn ink pen originals evolve into new artworks through a conscious process of digital manipulation, collage and editing techniques. The resulting artworks are full of intense abstract patterns and vibrant colours.
