Eek & Wild: The Sculptures that Couldn’t Keep Still

24 February 2026

Eek & Wild Contemporary Dance Company are excited to share the trailer of their latest show ‘The Sculptures that Couldn’t Keep Still’.

Eek & Wild Theatre Company, ‘The Sculptures that Couldn’t Keep Still’ (2026) Dancers: Effie McGuire Ward, Ella Fleetwood & Katie Albion.

The pop-up show is inspired by the sculptures at the Milton Keynes University Hospital art collection. Working in collaboration with Arts for Health Milton Keynes (AfHMK) and the MKUH Play Team, the show has been co-created with patients at MKUH and keeps choice at the centre of the work. Children can choose which sculpture they want to see brought to life through dance.

Working with Addison Design, the team have produced a location map of the featured sculptures. Participants are invited to follow the trail to discover the sculptures around the hospital - encouraging them to discover the Art Collection, step outside of their ward, and go on their own creative adventure.

Participants access the map via a printed postcard, which also includes creative activities on the reverse that can be completed bedside, sparking imagination and inspiration long after the show has finished -  bringing an added legacy to their performances.

︎ Click here to view a short reel on Instagram highlighting the design of the postcard.

Performances will continue across the children’s wards and paediatric areas into Spring 2026, offering more young patients the chance to take part.

Missed the performance but would still like to complete the activity?
