Monthly Art Club - West Bletchley
Participants discovered the well-being benefits art can bring!
Our ‘Arts for Wellbeing’
art club was based at West Bletchley, Milton Keynes.
Arts for Wellbeing was not just about art; it was about fostering a sense of community. These sessions were led by two experienced artists in partnership and explore important themes and events, while also helping reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness. Whether participants were looking to meet new people, express themselves artistically, or simply enjoy a mindful break, this club was for them.
Activities
Each session featured a variety of activities designed to inspire creativity and improve mental well-being. The February session was spent working with textiles - participants made textured backgrounds using bondaweb and interfacing. Future sessions were spent using the textile backgrounds and exploring techniques such as hand quilting, embroidery and fabric lino printing.
Who was it for?
