Thinking (2020) Liquid Latex and Brusho Paint (A4 prints available, £10 each)

This artwork series was created by the artist in direct response to Lockdown and the Art for Wellbeing movement – in particular looking at and how mental health has declined for many of us.

The raw nature of the liquid latex and making process in particular conveys this - making the subjects appear exposed and vulnerable.

‘I have been exploring the effect of COVID-19 and our sense of ourselves.  Do we like what is left after all our defences have gone? Can we be compassionate to ourselves, or the parts we dislike?’ [Sarah Gage]
