Creatively Minded, Ethically Diverse
February 2023 - February 2024

Ziyao Lin

Is an artist from Southern China, she graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts and completed postgraduate studies in Digital Media at Goldsmiths, University of London. Ziyao Lin's work is concerned with humanity and nature, the ethics of technology, women's rights, and individual psychology. Her creative forms often include digital art, illustration, installation, and recent practice is based on the psychological issues of the 'Empty heart disease' of our time.

︎ Ziyao Lin designed her workshop specifically for those of Chinese heritage. Workshop participants were given opportunities to discuss Chinese cultural context and its relationship to mental health and invited to express themselves using drawing techniques. Ziyao Lin’s Art for Health MK workshops are now complete and started in April at an arts venue in Wolverton, Milton Keynes.

Watch a video diary about Ziyao’s experiences of working with diverse communities in an Arts for Health setting:

These programmes are organised by Arts for Health Milton Keynes in partnership with Milton Keynes Islamic Arts and Culture (MKIAC) and the Milton Keynes Arts and Heritage Alliance (AHA-MK).
The project is supported by the Baring Foundation.
