We are excited to announce that we have published a book of short stories! These come from a creative
writing workshop which used myths, legends, folk and fairy tales to inspire
patients and staff to write about their own experiences within healthcare, and
have been illustrated by a local artist.

In the book you will find tales of queens and wizards, imps and bakers; comedy, fantasy, love, endurance and espionage. There are short stories, poetry and a vignette; all completed as part of a creative writing course aimed at improving wellbeing for patients and staff at Milton Keynes University Hospital.
Engagement in the arts is a great way to relax
and improve your wellbeing. We hope you enjoy reading this book and feel inspired to begin writing
yourself; you will find tips on how to start at the back of the book.
